All about Esmorina Laspiranza
Esmorina Laspiranza is a Colombian visual and performance artist. She has exhibited in both joint and solo shows in Brooklyn, Manhattan, Pittsburgh, and State College. Her artistic interests are most often related to psychoanalysis and the understanding and growth of the self. In Puzzled, Esmorina attempts to create a statement of summation concerning her continually emergent and evolving being. Puzzled is a series of images that were borne out of a productive whirlwind that closed the year of 2010. Esmorina is interested in diffusing the boundaries between dream and reality, using her art to engage her audiences' conscious and unconscious processes. She hopes her art will engage the viewer at multiple perspectives, inviting broad associations and interpretations depending on the viewer's frame of reference.
